Guys, thanks to you all!

What is the most important feature for a blog writer…?

I had been wondering and there has been days, when I used to get jittery when I don’t receive a single comment on my post.

I start re-reading my post again and again…and will keep correcting them mentally till I get one single comment – let alone it be a spam…! :)

Jokes apart…I still wonder what makes me write.

I first started to read through various blog sites, various posts, various writers…I knew I was missing a greatest fad of the country but did not bother.

Slowly, it entered the corporal sites too and people at work started talking about it…this thing was pelting me!

Wherever I went they asked me, “Do you Blog?” as if it was important than brushing  your teeth everyday!

When I used to tell, ‘No not interested in discussing my life and happenings in public’…they used to protest and they used to give me a nasty comment saying, “You being a Instructional Designer has a job that has got to do with writing and still don’t have a blog”

I started venting and thought what the thing is this – BLOG?

Is it a ‘Scarlet’ letter that works in reverse – that you get blamed for not commiting a sin?

That kept me rolling and I started visiting various sites and generally read some extra ordinary descriptions of normal episodes, some imaginary text, some wonderful experiences, some write-ups on life, soul, book, cinema, songs and reading all them…I picked some usages and language and the art of telling stories…to another person.

Now, that part of action – story telling wasn’t there in me…I was a failure among my nieces and nephews, small sisters and bothers…who were recent introduction to the ever growing family of ours with an every marriage on cards!

They all used to say this – “Akka (A relational word for sister in South India), does not know to tell a story…how strange?”

I would start off to tell them a tale and end it up in one sentence – like the famous one-liners of the Amar Chitra Katha story books…which reads as  ‘If it was just a story of five brothers against a 100 brothers…there would not have been an Epic called ‘Mahabarth’ to read about…!

I used to be that simple……..!

I slowly got into writing a blog…even before that I did venture into writing, I wrote a short story and sent it to the Woman’s Era magazine but luckily it got back to me without publishing, otherwise I would have been a huge success and would been sitting and answering a few questions on my present book….now that did not happen let us not talk about it!

So, I started reading and then in the corporal world, I peaked in a little more and started commenting on a few posts that trickled a laugh, mind, logic or the human quality…!

I started reading most of the recent posts that came on to the blog and was sometimes the first person to comment on them…! I liked the way people responded to my views and my comments…!

Though I was tempted to write, I did not make an effort and one day, I posted something I had jotted down somewhere about a happening that made me reflect the thoughts that I went through…..!

I got some responses to that and told me the fact there are several people like me who feel and think on similar lines but are either too lazy to write or too busy to do something called ‘as writing it down’…but are ready to share once they come across similar episodes written by someone…!

Hence, I started but I wanted a niche and did not be one among the crowd…! I started a series of short stories and they became a hit! Then, I slowly turned to another art of fictional story telling – ‘Novel’…posting one chapter on the corproal blog to read pusle of a reader…Hmm…it became a history and still is…!

Hope, one day I publish it…and become an instant hit someone such as Chetan Bhagat…{Big Dreams make you achieve small ventures….}

Thanks, to all the readers and commentators who showed interest in the tenure of my writing and encouraged me to write more and think different topics that could spark a conversation, a debate, a perspective to the open mind and make me present them in an earnest form of writing…!

Readers – without you anything of a feat isn’t achievable as it has been today…my blog post ‘It’s been a Year – Today’s Anniversary!’ featured in another site called Blogadda, “…which has a team, which crawls across the Indian Blogosphere to pick the best blogposts and feature than in two categories called – ‘Tangy Tuesdays’ and ‘Spicy Saturdays’ and serves it to the readers.” [Qouted from the mail I got from Harish Krishnan of Blod Adda]

My post featured in the ‘Spicy Saturdays’ picklist and I am grateful to whoever tipped of my blog as ‘ Good Post’ and the team of Blog Adda who featured my post as in here.

I am happy that I could write some stuff for readers of varied taste and flair…! I am elated that readers have made a person worth of writing whatever crap I write…!!

Thank you once again to all of you, my friends, family and the MoTA family to all the support extended and encouragements…

This piece of writing isn’t an ‘Election Promise or Stunt’ it comes straight from the heart….I am obliged! :)
